06.02.2007 | How to communicate with clients

We love our clients dearly. They provide interesting work and ultimately, cheese on the table for us. And most of the time, projects go well because we do our best to communicate progress to our clients clearly. We also value their perspective, and 97.6% of the time we receive thoughtful feedback on our work. A true collaborative effort is always our goal.

But every creative professional knows what our favourite designer-turned-standup-comedian, ZeFrank, is talking about in this little clip: a lesson in communication. We've all been there at one time or another. No matter the level of creative work, whether you design pizza flyers or work on fancy multi-national branding-schmanding accounts, this simulated email exchange tells it in a nutshell. Dear clients, if you are reading this, we trust that even you will understand and not drop us like a hot potato to run to another, better-at-buttering-up firm.

And while you're there, spend an hour or ten exploring the zefrank.com website.
