At the world premiere of the Vancouver Opera’s Coast Salish-flavoured Magic Flute, a computer glitch during a multimedia projection meant looking at a desktop visual for about half a minute. The audience started laughing and clapping. I blurted out “must've used Windows.” For some Windows vs Mac fun (and Windows parodies of the current Apple ads), go to Paul Thurott's blog.
As for the opera, which featured beautiful costumes inspired by Coast Salish art, I didn't think the sandwiching of Coast Salish and Mozart worked. I'd rather see one of the First Nations myths performed to First Nations music.
