So I've gotten some flak from fellow designers for my job ad posting on the GDC listserv. It says:

I am finding out what it's like to get flamed. Nasty emails, phone calls from designers as far away as Nova Scotia — I was quite surprised when I came into the office this morning.

Dear Offence-Takers, it was a satirical comment on the fact that so many design studios have dogs, complete with pictures of their dogs on their websites.

My intent is usually to amuse not offend. I'll tell you a deep, deep secret about me: One thing I would really like to do in my life is to go into a standup comedy club on open-mike night, and make a complete and utter fool of myself with a standup routine. It is one of the big things I would like to do in my life, the same way some people want to stand on top of the Great Wall of China.
